This event is tailored for the bushcrafter who wishes to put their skills to the test.

You will need your wits about you as well as your imagination, as you will be reliant upon the resources that you find around you to build your shelter and make your solo camp for the 4 days within a 30 acre private woodland.

The woodland itself consists of mixed broadleaf tree species with occassional coniferous species. Plenty of hazel, willow and silver birch.

Shop purchased 'Wild Game' animals will be your main source of food, which will be supplimented by your gathering of wild edibles (checked over by the staff).

Apart from your bushcraft knife and saw (something similar to a Bacho Laplander or a Silkie Pocket Boy Saw) you are only permitted to bring 7 other items with you, so choose very carefully.

Suggested permitted items: * cooking pot * sleeping bag * ferrocerium rod * head torch (with replacement batteries) * paracord * mobile phone with power bank (counts as one) * a book

Of course, you will require: * waterproofs * ruck sack * boots * work gloves * various layered clothing * personal first aid kit * personal hygine kit * beanie and warm gloves * personal medication.

We are mindful that the woodlands natural resources are not limitless and so we are only able to take 4 people on this challenge so we cause minimal impact upon the woodland itself.

A daily meeting where various bushcraft challenges will be set will be the only time the tribe will meet. The challenges are to win extra items/luxury items etc.

Basic survival challenge criteria: You will need to know how to: * Construct a weatherproof shelter. * Natural cordage making. * Practical knot application. * Tree identification and uses. * Fire making. * Bushcraft cooking and bushcraft pot hangers etc. * Water purification. * Apply safe methods of knife and saw use and tool maintanence. * Wild edible foraging - instructors will check before you consume. * Green wood working skills. * Game processing - instruction given.

The daily survival challenges: You will need to know the theoretical application at least prior to attending the challenge event. (Some activities are not for actual use, but set to turn theoretical knowledge into a practical application, only for use in a real survival situation and to demonstrate understanding - some activities such as trap setting practises within the UK are illegal, while some must be carried out humanely.) * Some kind of hunting projectile. * Trap construction and demonstration. * Bushcraft chair making. * Spoon/utensil carving.

You are expected to have a foundation of bushcraft skills before attending this event - however the instructors are here to show you what to do if you are unsure. There are certain areas where instruction will be given to ensure the safety of all attendees to this event, such as fire placement ,tool safety, water purifucation, game processing and wild edible foraging. You will otherwise be on your own.

The staff will be visiting your solo camp during the day and once before night falls. There will be 24 hour support from First Aid trained staff, based at the main camp area.

Booking is essential. We only recommend adults from the ages of 18 upwards, with a reasonable amount of physical fitness to attend the challenge.

This will be great fun, so come test yourself.
